I Built a 196cc Plate Compactor – Bad Idea?

Yes, I know what you're thinking... Why didn't I just buy one instead of building it? My answer is: I honestly don't know 😅 This plate compactor was built from scrap steel and powered by a 196cc engine. I made the vibrating mechanism from scratch, and it worked much better than I expected. At roughly 100 kg, the machine compacts the ground very well, and the vibration is strong enough to move the compactor forward on its own. Instead of pushing its full weight, the operator only needs to guide it. I also added folding transport wheels, which make moving the machine around much easier. I know this isn't exactly a groundbreaking project, but it was built to suit my own needs. The ease of transport and operation makes it a machine I'm truly happy with.
