Beyond Goodbye – Episode 2 | Which Belongings of a Deceased Loved One Should You Keep?
What should we do with the belongings of someone who has passed away?
In this episode of Beyond Goodbye, we explore the difference between scriptural teachings, traditional customs, social beliefs and our own psychological responses to grief.
We discuss why the monetary value of an object often matters less than its emotional value, whether a deceased person's photograph can be kept at home, whether their clothes or jewellery can be used, and why we should be careful before attributing every popular belief to texts such as the Garuda Purana.
That is why belongings such as diaries, personal letters, phones, documents and private records deserve special consideration even after death. Respecting someone's memory can also mean respecting the privacy and dignity they had during their lifetime.
This episode is not about creating fear. It is about understanding grief, memory, tradition and spirituality with greater clarity.

Our goal is not to create blind belief. Instead, we ask questions, examine evidence, explore ancient knowledge, and connect it with modern scientific understanding.
Every script, analysis, and presentation on this channel reflects my own research, study, and understanding. Where scientific subjects are discussed, the aim is to distinguish *established scientific knowledge, ongoing research, hypotheses, and spiritual interpretations* rather than presenting speculation as proven fact.
Our mission is to build a bridge between *the wisdom of ancient India and the questions of the modern human mind.*
