Suggestions to National Agencies

In this video, participants share recommendations for National Agencies that want to strengthen youth involvement in their work. From the importance of involving young people as part of a healthy democratic society to practical approaches for participation, they discuss how to involve young people from the start, listen to their perspectives, use feedback transparently, and build structures that support long-term involvement. This video learning material was produced in the context of You(th)4Participation, a European youth-led meeting that took place in Bonn in May 2026 and brought together around 40 young people involved in National Agencies as well as National Agency coordinators to exchange and learn from each other. Based on interviews with the event organising team, youth participants and National Agency staff, the videos share experiences from organising a youth-led event, explore meaningful youth involvement in National Agencies, and highlight different approaches to youth participation. The materials are intended to inspire and support National Agencies and young people seeking to strengthen meaningful youth involvement in decision-making..
