Day 2 in Rome on foot, from breakfast to pizza at night. We flew from Prague to Rome for just two days in early October 2026, and this is the second day of our walk. We start with an Italian breakfast, walk to St. Peter’s Square in Vatican City, then cross the whole city with no tours and no strict plan. Filmed in 4K with the real sounds of Rome. 🎧 No commentary and no music, just footsteps, crowds, street life and the everyday noise of Rome. Best with headphones. 📍 WHAT YOU’LL SEE IN THIS WALK • St. Peter’s Square, Bernini’s colonnade, the obelisk and St. Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City • “Angels Unawares”, the bronze migrants sculpture on St. Peter’s Square • Via della Conciliazione, the long avenue leading to the Vatican • The Tiber River, Ponte Sant’Angelo with its angel statues and Castel Sant’Angelo • The Mausoleum of Augustus • The Spanish Steps and the Barcaccia Fountain on Piazza di Spagna • The Column of Marcus Aurelius • The Orange Garden (Giardino degli Aranci) and the panoramic view over Rome from the Aventine Hill • Circus Maximus, the ancient chariot racing stadium • The Vittorio Emanuele II Monument (Altare della Patria) and its terrace views • Trajan’s Column and Trajan’s Forum at sunset • Piazza della Repubblica and the Fountain of the Naiads in the evening light • Street food, gelato and a pizza dinner 🗺 Why walk? Many of Rome’s most famous places are close together, so you can see a lot in a day without public transport.
