Silicon Valley Electronics Engineer Bjorn Forsberg is on a quest to get his 100 year old von Lieben tube to amplify. It does light up so the filament is OK. Says Bjorn after 4 attempts: "I have concluded my experiment #4, which gave us some fine views and photos of the LRS tube with lit filament. It did not amplify and I am on hold for maybe another experiment, if I get suggestions on how to get the old thing to glow..."
