Peru Pt 4- Lima, Day Trip to Paracas & Huacachina

This is the last part of our Peru trip from last year. We spent the last few days in Lima. In Lima we explored the surrounding areas, such as the Malecón, a few parks, the historic city centre and Huaca Pucllana. We also tried our first gastronomy dining experience. We definitely are not going to be food vloggers/critics any time soon😅. Nonetheless, it was an interesting experience. We also took a day trip to Paracas and Huacachina. In Paracas, we got to see sea lions and the Candelabra. I recommend taking the ginger candy they give on the boat AND taking gravol. When they stop the boat in certain areas, you can defintely feel the choppiness of the waves. Huacachina is a very small village, we contemplated whether we needed multiple days here or a few hours (during a day trip is enough). If you enjoy the andrenaline of buggies, sanboarding, or just relaxing in a desert setting/oasis then I think staying 2 nights would be nice. We were okay with the short visit during the day trip. We got to do the dune buggy and see Huacachina during sunset.
