Rachmaninoff’s Prelude in G Minor (Op. 23, No. 5)

The middle section is pure poetry. After the relentless opening march, the music suddenly opens up into this sweeping, nostalgic Russian melody. I’ve been spending time at the piano exploring the inner tenor counter-lines in this section—there’s so much emotional color tucked into those middle voices! ☕ What story or feeling does this middle melody bring to mind for you? #Rachmaninoff #PianoMusic #ClassicalMusic #PreludeInGMinor #PianoPractice #ClassicalPiano #TheMusicStory #PianoEnthusiast
