Stephen King's Cujo is NOT really about a killer dog. The movie is a fun thriller, but the novel is about something much darker - the collapse of the American family. King wrote Cujo in a cocaine haze and says he doesn't even remember writing it. And it shows. This is his most depressing book, even darker than Pet Sematary. In this video I break down: Why King used a Saint Bernard and not a pit bull The Frank Dodd / Dead Zone connection no one talks about What really happens to Tad Trenton (the movie lied to you) Why Cujo is a tragic figure, not a monster The King David and Bathsheba parallel To me, IT will always be King's best book. But what is number two? This is an A+ Classic. Good movie, GREAT novel. *WATCH NEXT - My Movie Reviews for Other King Classics It Children of the Corn Pet Semetery Stand by Me Carrie The Shining Do you like movie reviews, horror, anime, music, and words of wisdom from history's greatest minds?
