How to present data in Excel, recorded live in Excel: a one page summary sheet built from a workbook whose answer already exists. Three headline formulas that point at the data sheet, the region by month table brought across with a spill reference, a colour scale for size, a highlight rule for direction (anything down more than five percent turns red), a line chart that shows the crossover, a stacked column that shows one product carrying the growth, gridlines off, and one sentence that says what it all means. Nothing on the page is typed in as a number, so at the end one edit in the data moves the total, the colours and both charts.
