So, this is some weird stuff. Welcome to the Soggy Spid Chronicles, a quest line involving, take a wild guess, Soggy Spud. Each world has 1 chapter, so here's Chapter 1, which takes place in Modern Day, the tutorial for this mod. So, there's this new character called "Solanum Tuberosum", although you can call him Solan for short. Solanum Tuberosum is also the scientific name for Potatoes. As you can imagine, he is quite literally a humanoid potato, and he also doesn't seem to like Crazy Dave, and he thinks pretty highly of himself. He's apparently a biologist who (used) to work for Bloom & Doom Seed Co., aka where all your plants come from. Hes also built like Red from Rainbow Friends, convince me otherwise
. Anyway, according to him, he's heard a lot of stories about us, the player, mainly how we defeated Dr. Zomboss and his Zombot in Pvz1, so he wants our help because obviously Zomboss is trying to take over the world AGAIN, but also because his potato experiments escaped. If you don't remember Soggy Spud, he's a cheap plant with a long cooldown that creates a permanent puddle on the tile you place him on, which slows down Zombies that are walking through it. Doing these would unlock a new Spud Plant, but you already have Soggy Spud as you unlock him in Modern Day, so Chapter 1 is just coins instead. All the Modern Day Zombies (All-Star, Newspaper, Balloon) being nerfed into the absolute floor in this mod makes it a lot easier. Chapter 2 unlocks Marble Spud, Chapter 3 is Solar Spud, Chapter 4 is Primal Soggy Spud, and Chapter 5 is French Fried Spud. All of them are 3 levels long and take place in a world, so Chapter 2 will be in Renaissance Realm, then Lost City, Jurassic Marsh, and lastly Swinging Boulevard.
Also, I know Modern Day is only the tutorial in this mod, but I never really noticed they made a Ultimate Battle and Demonstration Mini-game theme for Player's House. No, it's not the same ones as Modern Day, it's very different and specifically for Player's House levels. They also have a Choose Your Seeds theme similar to Pvz1, so that's nice. Next video I'll probably start Lost City, but I figured this would be quick. Level 2 was the most interesting since breaking the gravestones in the middle lanes spawns Soggy Spuds there. The name of that level (Watery Graves) is also a reference to the Pool theme from Pvz1. I also brought Black-Eyed Pea as promised, so I'll try to use that.
