Years before her husband was shot in his own kitchen, she wrote an essay called "How to Murder Your Husband." Then the cameras caught her minivan. On June 2, 2018, beloved Portland chef Daniel Brophy was shot twice while preparing for class at the Oregon Culinary Institute. His wallet, phone and keys were untouched. His wife, romance novelist Nancy Crampton Brophy, said she had been at home.
