G-Shock GW-9200 Service Maintenance | Disassembly & Reassembly

Welcome back to the channel! Today, we're doing a full watch service maintenance on a Riseman GW-9200, the first G-Shock to be Multi band 6. Watch as we take this Casio Riseman through a complete disassembly and reassembly, bringing it back to life. This watch restoration will showcase the meticulous process of cleaning and rebuilding this iconic timepiece. I demonstrate how to change the battery and properly reinstall the bezel on the unique G-Shock GW-9200. The process shown here can also be applied to a G-9200. It seems I was reading the batch code date wrong. I mentioned 2019 on the video but it should be 2009 as this watch was in production from 2008 to 2013. This makes this watch 16 years old at the moment of recording. Looks pretty good for almost being two decades old. The calendar range on this GW-9200 with module 3147 is from January 1, 2001 to December 31, 2099. This information is found in page 11 in the manual. The primary difference between the G-Shock Riseman modules 3145 and 3147 is measurement units and market, with the 3147 offering metric/imperial options and the 3145 being metric-only. The 3147 is generally found in international GW-9200 models, while the 3145 is used in Japanese (JDM) versions. Module 3147 (International Version)Measurement Units: •Offers both Metric (meters, Celsius) and Imperial (feet, Fahrenheit) units for altimeter and temperature/barometer readings. •Case Back: Typically features the "Dragon" logo.Manual: Comes with English instructions.Module 3145 (Japanese Version / GW-9200J)Measurement Units: Exclusively uses the Metric system for altimeter and temperature readings.Case Back: Features the "Flying Squirrel" logo (common to JDM Riseman models). •Designation: Used in the Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) models.
