About twenty thousand people filled an arena in Manila on 2 October for Kim Soo-hyun's first large fan event in roughly a year and a half. He greeted them in Filipino, sang songs from his drama soundtracks, choked up, and came back out after the end to wave. This is the record of how he got there: the police decision, the court ruling, the brand claims still open, and the Disney+ drama still on the shelf. THE RECORD Early 2025: a YouTube channel publishes material about his relationship with the late actor Kim Sae-ron. Advertisers drop him, and the Disney+ drama Knock-Off, due in April 2025, is postponed indefinitely. May 2026: police arrest the YouTuber, Kim Se-ui (covered on this channel on 15 August). Late July 2026: Seoul police decline to send the Child Welfare Act case against him to prosecutors, citing insufficient evidence. An audio recording submitted as evidence could not be accepted because it appeared to have been edited or manipulated. 27 August 2026: a Seoul court dismisses Mido's claim of about 570 million won. Claims from five more brands (Cuckoo, Classys, Dinto, Eider and FromBIO) were still being pursued, according to reporting at the time. 3 March 2026: Disney+ says reports that it is preparing to schedule Knock-Off for release this year are not true. 4 August 2026: BENCH announces a fan event in Manila. 1 September: an interview with Indonesia's RCTI. 19 September: presenter at The Fact Music Awards in Busan. Reports say he is reviewing more than forty projects; none is confirmed. 2 October 2026: Our Forever With You, SM Mall of Asia Arena, Manila. Sold out. Next confirmed date: the Asia Artist Awards, 5-6 December, Kaohsiung. WHAT WE ARE NOT CLAIMING This episode does not repeat what was alleged about Kim Sae-ron, who cannot answer it. It does not claim that any of the forty reported projects is confirmed, or that Knock-Off has a release date. THE COMMENTS From Dispatch's video of his return through the airport, quoted exactly as written; Korean comments are shown in the original with an English translation and read aloud as translated. The selection is a range, including a fan's complaint about the airport. Attributed to the platform only. FOOTAGE Stage, event, airport and broadcast footage is used briefly, with its audio removed, for news commentary. All sources are attributed on screen.
