Red Screes Solo Summit Camp In The Lake District - Helm Compact 1 So back in The Lake District this week for another solo wild camp, this time on the summit of Red Screes at 776m. Good test for the Wild Country Helm Compact 1 too. Weather was supposed to turn for the worse during the night so went prepared but managed to get a fantastic sunset. Woke up completely in the clag but managed to get up very early and get back to the car just as the rain come in so was very pleased overall.
