How to Crochet a Granny Square for Beginners | Easy Step-by-Step Tutorial

Round 1: Chain 3 (counts as 1 DC), then work 2 DC into the centre ring. Chain 2. Repeat 3 DC → CH 2 three more times. Slip stitch to the top of the beginning CH 3. Rounds 2–5: Work 3 DC → CH 2 → 3 DC in each corner space. Between corners, work 3 DC into each side space, with CH 1 between clusters. Join each round with a slip stitch to the beginning CH 3. Fasten off and weave in your ends. 💡 Remember: Corner: 3 DC → CH 2 → 3 DC Side: CH 1 → 3 DC → CH 1 As the rounds increase, the corners stay the same while more granny clusters are added along each side.
