Learn how to calculate earthwork quantities using Excel data in ESurvey CADD with the Earthwork module. This tutorial explains the complete workflow for calculating cutting and filling quantities for site surveys, grading works, roads, and canals. Learn more: https://esurveying.net/earthwork-soft... Earthwork quantities can be calculated using CSV, Excel, or CAD data. In this tutorial, Excel data is used to import ground levels and formation levels and perform the earthwork calculation. In this video, you will learn: How to create a new Earthwork project in ESurvey CADD. How to import Original Ground Level (OGL) data from Excel. How to define or automatically generate the earthwork boundary. How the Scanning Radius helps define a boundary when boundary data is unavailable. How to set the Grid Interval for earthwork calculation. How to control ground and formation level display settings. How to understand base surface statistics. How to calculate earthwork using a fixed formation level. How to calculate cutting and filling quantities instantly. How to change the formation level and recalculate quantities. How to view detailed cross-section calculations. How cross-section areas are used for volume calculation. How to generate volume reports in Excel. How to import formation level data from Excel. How OGL and formation levels are represented at each grid point. How to calculate quantities between two surfaces. How to view detailed cross-sections with ground and formation surfaces. How to change the grid angle and define the grid origin. How section numbers can be controlled using Y-axis intersections. Earthwork Calculation Workflow The tutorial demonstrates how ESurvey CADD converts imported survey data into grid levels and uses the resulting surfaces to calculate cutting and filling quantities. A fixed formation level can be used for estimation. For billing or partial billing, a separate formation surface can be imported and compared against the original ground surface. Software: ESurvey CADD Module: Earthwork Input: Excel OGL & Formation Level Data Output: Cut/Fill Quantities, Cross-Sections & Excel Reports This tutorial is useful for civil engineers, surveyors, quantity surveyors, contractors, road designers, and construction professionals working on earthwork and grading calculations. In the following tutorials, you will learn how to import data from CAD and perform earthwork calculations using the Box Method. Thank you for watching this ESurvey CADD tutorial.
