1994 07/02 Montreal Expos at San Francisco Giants in Slugfest at Candlestick in 1994

I was quite fortunate enough to actually be personally in attendance at this game in San Francisco! Sorry about the poor quality of this video -- The original video was of lower quality, so not much can be done to improve it. However, it is great to have ANY video, no matter the quality, of our Great 1994 Montreal Expos! Note: This video is actually a French Video-English Audio Merge 1.) This video is a merge between the SRC French language Broadcast and the CBS Radio Call of the game. This took quite some time to merge the video and audio together. It is not perfect, but a decent effort. 2.) The CBS Radio Play-by-Play Announcers are: Jerry Coleman and Gary Cohen. However Expos broadcaster Dave Van Horne makes an interesting appearance in the booth and does the play-by-play in the top of the 5th inning for the Expos at bats. 3.) Because of the nature of merging two different sources, there is the occasional spot in the video with no sound, including about a 6 minute spot in the 8th inning (noted in the video) during the bench-clearing brawl. HIGHLIGHTS OF THE GAME (Spoilers Below) Five players went deep for the Expos in this classic game: Wil Cordero (2-run 2nd inning home run) Mike Lansing (Solo in 4th) Sean Berry (Solo in 4th) Moises Alou (Solo in 5th) Lenny Webster (3-run shot in the 7th). Despite an uncharacteristic off-day for starting pitcher Ken Hill during the 1994 season, the Expos managed to rally from a 4-0 1st inning deficit for a 10-9 win over the Giants on July 2, 1994. With the Expos trailing 4-3 in the 4th, Lansing and Berry went back-to-back for these home runs to give the Expos the lead. Both benches cleared in the bottom of the 8th of this game after Mel Rojas hit Barry Bonds with a pitch. Rojas and Giant coach Bob Brenly were both ejected from the game for fighting. Ken Hill got the win - his National League leading 12th of the season (12-3) while John Wetteland got 5 outs for his 14th save. I was in attendance at this game, in the middle of a Dream California Road Trip where my Mom and I saw the Expos play in San Francisco (July 1 & 2), Los Angeles (July 5) and San Diego (July 7).
