We Gotta Wake Up

Sometimes a few simple words can stop you in your tracks. A friend shared these words in a video, and when I heard, God wants us to wake up, something in that phrase caught my attention. It was like a firm whisper carrying authority, and my immediate response was, Yes, we sure do! Those words stayed with me, and they became the starting point for this spoken word. Scripture tells us in Romans 13:11 that it is high time to awake out of sleep. This isn't about pointing fingers at others or pretending we have everything figured out. It's about examining our own hearts, returning to the truth of God's Word, and recognizing that the life He's given us has purpose. Are we walking in His truth? Are we living out the love He's shown us? Are we remaining faithful to Him, allowing His Word to guide our steps? Or have we become so caught up in the noise of this world that we've lost sight of what truly matters? This is a call to wake up, personally, spiritually, and as the body of Christ. A call to seek the Lord, stand firm in His Word, love as He has called us to love, and live in a way that brings honor to His name. We don't live for our own glory. We live to glorify the One who gave us life, the One whose love is true and whose faithfulness never fails. My prayer is that these words will cause someone to pause, listen, examine their heart, and draw closer to the Lord. The question isn't simply whether we hear the words. It's whether we're willing to live them. WE GOTTA WAKE UP! Not for our glory. Not for our name. But to live for Jesus Christ and bring honor to His name. GLORY TO GOD!
