Watch as I teardown a Samsung Microwave Oven, model ME731K). See how I strip it down to the basics and then walkthrough how the electrical system actually works, optimised for cost and simplicity. I also created a schematic to show how the safety switch configuration works and what goes into generating the high voltages necessary to drive the magnetron. I was able to salvage a nice big high-voltage transformer, switches and motors for other projects.
