The modern development of Bergsjön began during the 1960s, while Rymdtorget’s residential and central-area buildings were largely developed during the late 1960s and early 1970s. One of the most interesting landmarks in this walk is Bergsjöns kyrka. The church was designed by architect Bo Cederlöf, built in the early 1970s and inaugurated in June 1974. It was later designated as a protected cultural-historical church in 1990. The church was designed as an integrated part of the Rymdtorget center and remains an important architectural feature of the area.
