Friday, April 13th, 1973. Kraków, Poland. In a painted chapel of Wawel Cathedral, twelve people gather around the red marble tomb of King Casimir IV, sealed since 1492. Before lifting the lid, someone jokes about Tutankhamun's curse. Everybody laughs.
Within a year, the newspapers count ten dead out of twelve.
This story is inspired by the real "curse of the king" reported by the Polish press. The characters, their names and many details are invented and told our way. Scientists later pointed to a toxic mold found in the tomb… but some things, the mold doesn't explain.
