CSX Coal Train Reroutes on Conrail Shared Assets in New Jersey - September 2025

The final month's worth of CSX coal train detours from around Central Jersey before the completion of the Howard Street Tunnel project. Action would be between Bridgewater to Roselle Park on the Conrail Lehigh Line and Belle Mead to Yardley on the CSX Trenton Line. A few of the highlights were CSX's "P&LE" heritage unit a few times, an E748 combo topping 1,000 axles, and a little chase of the final daylight loaded coal train to run, C733. Wrapping up a fun several months of detours, the final coal train reroute would be C731 on Sept. 26th, ending my count of reroutes at 104 total.
