Wine and Water - Red Over Blue

Red Over Blue | Holy Spirit Song Theme: “Red Over Blue” tells a mysterious, powerful story of four people gathered in a room when something supernatural begins to happen. Outside, red and blue emergency lights flash as firefighters arrive, expecting to find a fire. But there is no smoke, no flame, and nothing physically burning. Instead, the room is filled with wind, light, rising voices, and an overwhelming sense of God’s presence. The song draws from the biblical imagery of the Holy Spirit—wind, fire, and people suddenly united in worship. What appears to be an emergency becomes an encounter with something far greater. It reminds us that God can move in unexpected ways, filling ordinary rooms with extraordinary presence. Scripture Reference: 📖 Acts 2:2–4 — “Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven… They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire… and all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.” 📖 Matthew 3:11 — “He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.” Title: Red Over Blue Lyrics: [INTRO — distant sirens, pulsing synth, rising tension] Second floor. Friday night. Windows shaking. Something's alive. Red in the glass. Blue in the street. “There's a fire!” [VERSE 1] Neighbors saw the light moving through the room. Someone called the fire department. Someone called for help. Engines came screaming. Boots hit the stairs. We were standing in the middle of something we couldn't name. Then the door flew open— No smoke. No flames. No heat. Just wind. [PRE-DROP] Every window closed. Still the curtains moved. Every light was off. Still the room was glowing. Then the voices started. One. Two. Five. Different words. One feeling. [DROP / CHORUS] Red over blue! Red over blue! Sirens outside, fire inside. Red over blue! Red over blue! Nothing burning, but we're alive. Voices rising. Bodies moving. Something opened in the room. Red over blue! Red over blue! They came for fire— They found something new. [POST-DROP] Oh-oh-oh— something in the air. Oh-oh-oh— something everywhere. Hey! Hey! Nothing burning. Still we feel the heat. [VERSE 2] Maya started talking in a language none of us knew. Jay answered back like he'd been waiting for it. Someone started crying. Someone started laughing. Nobody was performing. Nobody was leading. The room was simply moving through us. The firefighters checked the walls. Nothing. Checked the ceiling. Nothing. Checked the wires. Nothing. But nobody wanted to leave. [PRE-DROP] Wind without a window. Fire without a flame. A room full of strangers suddenly feeling the same. Three minutes felt like hours. The whole night changed. Then the bass came back— [DROP / CHORUS] Red over blue! Red over blue! Sirens outside, fire inside. Red over blue! Red over blue! Nothing burning, but we're alive. Voices rising. Bodies moving. Something opened in the room. Red over blue! Red over blue! They came for fire— They found something new. [BREAKDOWN] No smoke. No ashes. No broken wire. Just a room full of people standing in impossible light. One firefighter looked around. Nothing to put out. But something was burning. [BUILD] Hands up. Eyes open. Feel the air. Feel it move. One voice. Another voice. Then everybody. [FINAL DROP] RED OVER BLUE! Sirens fading down the avenue. RED OVER BLUE! Nothing burning, but we knew. RED OVER BLUE! Many voices, one room. RED OVER BLUE! Something came alive in you. They came looking for a fire— There was no fire to put out. Only light. Only wind. Only something we carried out. [OUTRO] By morning, the room looked ordinary. Nothing burned. Nothing broke. But we knew what happened. Red over blue. And a fire without a flame.
