The most famous spoiler in the world is a radiator housing, and enthusiasts call it the tea-tray. ▌ Its brakes came from the 917. A Le Mans car's brakes, on something you could park outside your house. ▌ "Widowmaker" is not marketing. Thirty years on, buyer's guides still tell you to check a 930 for accident repair caused by turbo lag. ▌ 1989 was the first year it had five gears — the Getrag G50 — and also the last year it was built. Those cars carry a premium, as do the slantnose specials. ▌ Ernst Fuhrmann drew it, and it was homologated for Group 4 in December 1975: a road car built so the racing car could exist.
