Ekanta is a solo performance series by Deepam Odissi Academy that encourages dancers to step into their own artistic identity. Through this initiative, dancers learn the depth of solo presentation — understanding rhythm, storytelling, camera presence, and emotional communication through dance. Solo dancing is a transformative process of self-discovery. It demands discipline, courage, and the ability to connect inward before reaching outward to an audience. Ekanta is Deepam’s effort to nurture this journey in every dancer. Presenting Shiv Tandav performed by Varsha Rathi — a dynamic and energetic exploration of Lord Shiva’s cosmic dance. Inspired by the fierce rhythm and grandeur of the Tandava, the choreography captures both the power and transcendence associated with Shiva, while remaining rooted in the grace and vocabulary of Odissi.
