Country Roads - Episode 15 (August 28, 2026)

In this episode of “Country Roads” – Movie Series it is the way back, the second half of the same day. Something is audible on the engine that was not there before — probably one of the injectors, hanging a little. Not a drama, but it gets named, because that is how you know your machine. Then the new road. This stretch was closed for reconstruction, and we have driven it once before but never with the camera along. Now it is finished, so now we can run it. The summer heat never really arrived here. While it was a hundred, a hundred and two degrees elsewhere, we did not get it — and honestly, eighty-six or eighty-seven is the better end of that. The green is already on its way out. There is a lot of traffic, the same as yesterday, and it is hard to say what it means. Unusual at any rate. And a word about the pause: the channels had to be rebuilt — YouTube, RuTube and Substack — that work is done, and so we are back on the road. And the thought the ride ends on: if you make the best of it, it turns out good; if you make the worst of it, there is not much in it. From this ride: the way back on the same day, a sound on the engine, probably an injector, the rebuilt road driven with the camera for the first time, 100 to 102 °F (about 38–39 °C) elsewhere and none of it here, 86 to 87 °F (about 30 °C) as the preferred range, and heavy traffic two days running. ✍️ What do you have to say?
