Seems like they (witches) perceive that as disturbing the natural order of the city. Also if i remember vision's lines from infinity war, "Our very strength incites challenge. Challenge incites conflict. And conflict breeds...... catastrophe." same can be said applicable to the crimson beech as well. which is why witches are upset and they seek total annhilation of the vampires for it. maybe if Cas can tap into her full witch potential this problem can be warded off? let's see what happens next.
