Needing to make a long term multipurpose ship intended for use in upcoming multiplayer, I decided to make a small an agile corvette based upon the same design principles as the Blade. Though the Blade has far more acceleration, it is inherently unstable due to forward thrusters being imbued directly within the subgrid wings. This time around I made a similar design with stability in mind. Each thruster in the wings acts as a roll thruster, giving the Razor the same roll response features of the Blade. The Razor also features an elevator bay for loading and unloading a single very small rover or flying craft. Unfortunately, the bay came out much smaller than anticipated, and the elevator itself became quite the restriction, but in the end it came out alright. Hours of bay door designs centered around pistons, rotors, and hinges failed time and time again due to the terrible forces of klang. Many of the methods I've used in SE1 just are not viable in the early alpha of this game. Perhaps I will be able to upgrade the bay further in the future. The ship comes with an assembler, smelter, 6x 2.5m cargo crates, and an onboard mass 1G warning system much like the one I added to my Far Sender cargo hauler. It should also be noted that I used thruster choices based upon the tech progression system of the survival mode, making this craft completely possible to build upon completing the currently available missions centered around the moon station. This is of course excluding the timers, sound blocks, and event controllers, but should you build this craft without completing those tech blocks, the Razor is still completely functional, though its additional features such as wing thrusters firing off during rolls and ascension will only respond to dampener orientation responses. (Side note: Hydrogen tanks and Hydrogen thrusters in the wings may have issues. Though correctly configured to the rest of the conveyor network best I can tell, Hydrogen did not appear to pass through the Hinges themselves. This may be an Alpha bug. Requires more testing. This is an Alpha build after all.)
