I Thought Borneo Was Jungle full of Orangutans… Then I Saw Kuching #Malaysia

I thought Borneo would be mostly jungle, wildlife and remote places… but my first impression of Kuching, Malaysia completely surprised me. The city felt modern, welcoming and very different from what I had imagined Borneo to be. I explore Kuching, walk through the city and waterfront, discover some unexpected cultural places, and then a taxi driver tells me that orangutans are being fed just 17 km away. So instead of spending the afternoon at the hotel, I suddenly find myself heading into the jungle to see semi-wild orangutans.
