BAARN: Disaster Response: Returning to Stability

Basics Track. As much as you can plan, an unforeseen event, whether a local emergency or a large disaster, may still affect you. Once you know you and the people around you are safe, what comes next? This class explores how to respond to physical damage affecting your space, studio, collections, materials, and equipment, as well as communications and digital assets. You will learn about safety and security protocols, how the formal disaster response system works, where informal networks fit in, and where artists and artist-run organizations can turn for help.
