He backs it up with a tenant he once had who ripped every socket out of the walls, smashed the tiles, and left the place gutted - and there was nothing he could do about it because she'd signed the lease. That, he says, is exactly how Satan holds onto the earth: a wicked tenant with a legal lease that hasn't expired yet, so you can't evict him early no matter how hard you pray.
