The collaboration with German-Zimbabwean rapper Carlprit came about after he had contributed to a remix of Stan’s breakthrough hit Mr. Saxobeat, which led her producer Marcel Prodan to suggest the pair work together on new material. The track was written by Andrei Nemirschi, Marcel Prodan and Marcian Alin Soare, and produced by Prodan and Nemirschi. Unlike Stan’s previous dance-orientated singles, Million takes a more R&B and hip hop approach, with Carlprit opening the song addressing the lyrics “You’re one in a million” to Stan over a hip hop-inflected beat. The single charted at number 13 in Romania, number 21 in Spain and number 34 in Italy. The music video was filmed by Iulian Moga in Bucharest over thirty hours and uploaded in December 2011. Carlprit (Rudi Schwamborn) is a German-Zimbabwean rapper, actor, songwriter and music manager, born in Harare, Zimbabwe, to a Zimbabwean mother and German father.
