Film of the First Frankfort Football Game on September 3, 1976 against Hedgesville at Frankfort Stadium. "The Fantastic Falcons opened the season with a 35-0 romp over Hedgesville. To lead off the scoring, Alan Moreland ran 15 yads for the first Falcon Touchdown. Leo Day and Donnie Wolford followed with 11 yard touchdown runs from scrimmage. Keith Payne ran in a blocked punt from 6 yards out. Moreland finished up the scoring with a 6 yard run. Paul Hardy kicked 5 out of 5 extra points. Reathard Moreland was presented with the game ball during halftime acivities." From Frankfort Talon I (Yearbook) The Falcons were coached by Jim Fazzalore, who had coached the Ridgeley Blackhawks since 1965, and Bill Manning. They were opening the Frankfort program off of a win in the 1975 WV Class A Championship game on November 22, 1975, routing Wirt County 20-13. The Frankfort Band was Directed by George A. Ott, Jr., who had served as the Band Director at Ridgeley High school from 1968-1976. The Band was led onto the field by Senior Drum Major, George Poling. The band, 124 strong, consisted of: 96 Instrumentalists 7 Silks 4 Rifles 8 Honor Guard 7 Majorettes 1 Feature Twirler 1 Drum Major Band Uniforms did not arrive until January 1977, so the band marched across the field playing "Country Roads" and the originally composed "Frankfort Fight Song," wearing jeans and school shirts.
