Electro-Voice 635A Handheld Interview Mic Review / Test

Today I review a handheld dynamic omnidirectional microphone, the Electro Voice 635A. This is a classic interview microphone that’s been in production for decades. It rolls off around 150Hz to help with plosives, handling noise, and wind noise, and boosts from 5-10kHz to help your voice cut through a mix. 00:00 - Intro / Price 00:29 - Setup 00:41 - What’s in the Box 00:53 - Build Quality / Features 01:19 - Specifications 01:33 - Polar Pattern Test 01:47 - Handling Noise Test 01:55 - Interview Sample 02:09 - Bagkround Noise Test 02:16 - Distance Test (Including Proximity Effect) 02 :26 - Music Test 03:02 - Pros & Cons 03:36 - Conclusion & Thoughts 04:25 - Outro Buy the Electro Voice 635A Global: https://geni.us/635a Buy the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 (2nd Gen) US: http://amzn.to/2vDFbzK UK: http://amzn.to/2w8O2f6 CA: http://amzn.to/2wKGKfG DE: http://amzn.to/2hbtxsV My YouTube Kit: https://podcastage.com/studio My Favorite XLR Mics: https://podcastage.com/rev/favxlr My Favorite USB Mics: https://podcastage.com/rev/favusb NOTE (FULL DISCLOSURE): If you purchase an item using my amazon link, it provides me a small referral fee.
