Enduring Vigil | JS Chikuma (DE-233)

JS Chikuma (DE-233) is a destroyer escort of the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and the fifth vessel of the Abukuma-class. The ship is named after Chikuma, the archaic designation of the Chikuma River. It is the third Japanese warship to bear this name, succeeding the Imperial Japanese Navy's Chikuma-class protected cruiser Chikuma (I) and the Tone-class heavy cruiser Chikuma (II). ⚓ Watch the playlist here:    • Enduring Vigil | JS Chikuma (DE-233)   #AbukumaClass #JMSDF #JapanMaritimeSelfDefenseForce #JSchikuma #DE233 #Japannavy #PhilippinesJapandefense #MaritimeSecurity #Geopolitics #IndoPacific
