Historic Live Concert of Carmina Burana in Brazil Maestro Silvio Barbato Soprano Della Henry OSTNCS

An incredible performance wherein not only was the immense stage of the Brazilian National Theater packed full with and extensive orchestra, full choir and a large children's choir, the audience was overflowing in the immense cavernous seats all the way up and back to standing room. People were seated on the steps up and down all the walkways and the president's box (the only box in the house) was teeming with vips. As this was a free to the public concert, every walk of life and socio-economic strata were present. I remember (I'm in the blue gown) that the lights were so bright that I could actually see a many in the audience. There faces were beaming. The energy was incredible. After our 4th ovation it felt more like a winning championship than a classical concert. I wish you all could've been there. And I wish that Silvio ( our indominable maestro) had not perished in Air France Flight 477 a few years later... Enjoy the concert. Be kind with your critiques.. it was a different time and my only private coaching was 3 months before at OCU when I went home to visit my family...
