But old houses are being demolished and new apartments are being built. Until recently, the population of Busan has been decreasing. Young people moved to nearby clean cities. Satellite cities in Busan include Yangsan, Gimhae, and Gijang. Changwon City and Ulsan City are a little further away. These cities form a large metropolitan belt near Busan.
