MUSAIC COLLECTIVE PRESENTS
DIGITAL KING
MAY 16TH, 2026
Original disco-pop / funk / Eurodance / cinematic retro-futurist dance-rock by VCG about celebrity worship, digital addiction, propaganda, algorithmic influence, media spectacle, data empires, attention culture, and the danger of confusing visibility with truth.
Everybody was dancing.
Nobody asked who chose the song.
That is the center of DIGITAL KING.
The track sounds bright on purpose.
Disco strings.
Funk bass.
Crowd chants.
Rhythm guitar.
Big synths.
A beat designed to move the room.
But underneath all that motion is a darker question:
What happens when entertainment becomes the delivery system for influence?
The Digital King does not need a castle.
He has screens.
Feeds.
Followers.
Cameras.
Trends.
Headlines.
Data.
Attention.
And attention is enough to build a throne.
“He didn’t need everybody to believe him. He only needed everybody watching.”
That is the real power in the song.
Not mind control.
Not some magical machine.
Attention.
The longer people stare, react, click, argue, buy, follow, compare, and repeat, the more the system learns what keeps them engaged.
And eventually, the feed does not just sell products.
It starts selling identities.
“He sold identity wrapped in trends.”
That line is one of the sharpest in the whole piece.
Wear this.
Believe this.
Fear this.
Want this.
Join this.
Be angry about this.
Now do it again tomorrow.
The cover turns that idea into a late-’70s disco palace.
Chrome.
Gold.
Mirrors.
A gigantic disco ball.
A king seated on a throne built from televisions, speakers, cameras, reel-to-reel machines, and glowing screens.
Around him:
FAME.
WATCH.
BUY.
FOLLOW.
MORE.
REPEAT.
The dancers look free.
But thin glowing lines tie the whole room back to the throne.
That is the visual joke.
The crowd thinks it is choosing the dance.
The system may be choosing the rhythm.
“The new throne doesn’t sit in a palace. It sits in your attention.”
DIGITAL KING is not anti-technology.
It is not saying screens are evil.
It is not saying every platform is corrupt or every trend is manufactured.
The sharper warning is about incentives.
When attention becomes money, the system has a reason to keep people watching.
When outrage keeps people engaged, outrage becomes valuable.
When fear performs well, fear gets amplified.
When identity can be packaged, identity gets marketed.
“Attention became currency, and everybody kept paying.”
That is why the bridge suddenly strips away the glamour:
“No amount of followers
Can heal the soul.”
“No empire of data
Can replace truth.”
“No glowing kingdom
Outlasts eternity.”
The party keeps going.
But one door opens.
Beyond it:
morning.
Open sky.
No screens.
No throne.
No audience.
And one person finally stops dancing long enough to notice.
That moment matters because waking up does not mean leaving technology behind.
It means refusing to hand technology authority it was never meant to have.
Use the tool.
Enjoy the music.
Watch the screen.
But do not let the screen tell you who you are.
