Welcome to my dream guitar. When recording the Situation album, I realised just how much I love P90 pickups...they have the same 'pumped up' quality of Tele bridge pickups, but with all the clarity and punch of low output single coils. But my ES-330 is definitely its own thing...it loves to feed back at anything approaching volume and/or gain. So...when looking (and dribbling) over Gibson R7s on the Peach Guitars website, I happened to notice that they had a single lefty Gibson R6 sat next to them. And that got the cogs whirring. Because whilst an R7 has always been my dream guitar, I do have PAF-powered guitars here doing a fairly similar job. But no P90 solid body. Most importantly, the R6's are still very, very gold....!! So I pulled the trigger - and I'm so glad I did. This is an astonishingly good guitar - and I cannot wait to show it to you. What do you think? Some of the greatest tones there's ever been in this room? Or not for you? Comment below!
