HMX Rain Sound Test | A Better Pick Than Dry MX2A? HMX Rain has that characteristic HMX sound but with a more controlled and refined character than I expected. The bottom-out is particularly satisfying, with a distinct and snappy impact that gives the switch a lively feel without sounding overly harsh. For my personal preference, I actually prefer HMX Rain over the Dry MX2A. The Dry MX2A has a very clean and direct sound, but Rain feels more energetic and engaging to me. It has a sharper, more pronounced bottom-out and a slightly richer overall sound signature.
