Iain Matheson: Mirror (2017) | Feargus Hetherington

Iain Matheson: Mirror (2017) Feargus Hetherington, violin Mirror was written to be played alongside the Fugue from J.S Bach's Sonata in C BWV 1005. It uses some features of that work, especially the riverso at bar 202. At this point Bach turns his fugue subject upside down - something he often does, in fugues and other pieces. Mirror includes many such reversals and inversions. [IGM January 2017] Recording date: 24/05/2020 https://iainmatheson.co.uk
