[105th R151 To Debut] SMRT ALS R151 Set 163/164 [Batch 2] From Gul Circle to Queenstown MRT Station

Date Filmed: 4 September 2026 As More Of The Final Few R151 Trains Were Set To Finish The Testing Phase, The New Trains Were Near The Full Completion Of Full Passenger Service. Actually At First, The New 106 R151 Trains Would Fully Be In Service By End Of 2026 But Since There Is Already 1 More R151 Trainsets To Yet The Debut, It Seems Like All 106 Would Finish Hopefully In September Or October Because I Have No Idea Yet As I Can't Guess The Date For The Trainsets Debut. With 105 New R151 Trains Were Being Operated In Passenger Service, R151 Set 165/166 Is The Only Trainset To Be Left For Debut. It Is Unknown When The R151 Set 165/166 Would Hence Debut Since It Is Going To Be The End Of August 2026 Already and I Would Really Think That The R151 Set 165/166 Would Debut In September 2026 But Not Sure Which Date Of September 2026 Because I Can't Really Choose Or Set It. So Recently, I Got One Happy Good News. The Good News Is That Another Trainset Has Made It's Debut On The East West Line Which Is 163/164. I Actually Was Wondering If I Should Take The Other R151 Set Which Was Set 971/972 Since R151 Set 971/972 Was The 104th One While The 105th R151 To Debut Was Set Number 163/164. To Be More True, The R151 Set 163/164 Debuted Just 2 Days After R151 Set 971/972 Enter Service Since 28 August 2026. When One Of My Transport Enthusiast Friend Said That R151 Set 163/164 Was Running As Train Run Number 336, The Train Was Deployed From Tuas West Depot To Serve The Evening Peak. I Was Really Thinking That The Same Style Might Really Happen Back On 8 July 2026 That Time When R151 Set 153/154 Has Ever Gone To The Tuas West Extension Which Was Slated To Arrive At Tuas Link MRT Station At 6:36 PM After It's Second Westbound Trip. My Original Plan Was To Ride From Tuas Link Actually Because I Wanted To Ride From The Tuas West Extension Since It Is Always Peaceful and That Section Is Not Really That Crowded Especially When I Take It On The Friday Evening Peak. But Because I Was Only Out At Around 6:15 PM, The Train Was Already Leaving Chinese Garden At That Time and I Slowly Decided To Travel To Gul Circle Instead If I Hoping That I Would Be Able To Make It On Perfect Time. When I First Reached Gul Circle, I Have To Go Down From The Upper Platform Since The Lower Platform Is For Pasir Ris While The Upper Platform Is For Tuas Link Bound. As I Arrived At Gul Circle Firstly At 6:43 PM While R151 Set 163/164 Was At Tuas Cresent Picking Up Passengers, I Check On The Passenger Information Display Screen Saying That It Would Come In 2 Minutes Time and I Would Be Very Sure That It Would Totally Be R151 Set 163/164. Although This Was Not My First Time I Have Ever Film The Train Arriving At Gul Circle, This Was The Second Attempt Doing It Since The First Attempt I Took It Back On Feb 2026 When I Was Catching R151 Set 967/968. For Now, The R151 Train Was About To Pull Into The MRT Station, It Arrive In High-Speed and It Was Really T336 Which I Was So Happy That I Would Decided To Ride To Queenstown MRT Station Instead To Dover MRT Station. While The Train Was Entering Gul Circle In The Video, The First 3 Carriage Were Not So Crowded With More Standing Space and Then The Other Carriages At The Back Like 3 Of Them Were Filled With More Pax Onboard. I Guessing Because The People Boarding At Tuas Link Have Gone From The Back Of The Platform Due To The Escalator Located At One End Of Platform Leading Towards The Tuas West Depot Direction. In Fact, R151 Set 163/164 Is The 7th To Build Along The 1XX Series. With R151 Set 163/164 Being Filmed, I Have Set 971/972 & 165/166 To Record Very Soon. This Is The First Recording To Ride During The September Holidays! The Train Ride Is Amazing As I Like The Strong Aircon, LED Lighting Are Very Bright, Working LCD DRMD Screens & CLD Display, Working Announcements, Clean Interior Of Train and Comfortable Seats [With Perch Ones] and Ride For This New CRRC Changchun Train.
