Airbnb BANNED Mandatory Guest Chores and It's Causing a BACKLASH... | Airbnb's New Rules

One guest got hit with a $7,000 cleaning fee over dog hair at a pet-friendly Airbnb. One host found a whole Thanksgiving dinner in the sink and eight bags of leaking trash. A mom stripped the beds and hauled the trash after a week with two kids and still got a bad review. Now Airbnb says hosts can't make you do any of it. So who is actually paying for the cleaning? In this video I react to hosts, guests and cleaners on both sides of Airbnb's new house rules, then look at what changed: for stays booked on or after November 20, 2026, hosts generally can't require guests to strip the beds, take trash off site or wash the dishes, and they can't fine you or add new rules after you book. Meanwhile 89% of U.S. listings already charge a cleaning fee. My prediction: the chore list gets shorter and the cleaning fee gets bigger. 1. Would you rather pay a bigger cleaning fee or do the chores yourself? 2. What's the most ridiculous checkout chore you've ever been asked to do? 3.
