A teaspoon of neutron star can weigh billions of tonnes, more than every Great Pyramid combined. We build one from the inside out: why the star collapsed, why its layers disagree on the exact weight, and what a single spoonful of it would actually do if it ever reached Earth.
Spoiler: it doesn't sit there. It's held together only by the star's own gravity, and the instant that gravity is gone, the neutrons decay and the sample detonates with something like the Sun's output in a couple of seconds. We also follow the one time this actually happened in the sky: the 2017 neutron-star collision that may have made the gold you're wearing right now.
