At a programme in Kalinganagar, Jajpur, Majhi accused the previous BJD government of limiting industrialisation and investment to slogans and signing MoUs for vote-bank politics. He said 46 projects worth ₹39,343 crore were inaugurated or launched, creating employment opportunities for 42,512 youths. Majhi also claimed that Odisha has become more investment-friendly under the BJP government, with projects being expedited through the single-window system. Meanwhile, Naveen Patnaik targeted the BJP during the BJD’s Jan Sampark Padyatra in Bhubaneswar, claiming Odisha ranked first in development under the previous government and accusing the current government of prioritising its party over public welfare. He said farmers and women were facing difficulties and Gen Z’s future was uncertain. BJP MLA Babu Singh countered that migration was a serious problem during the BJD’s 24-year rule and accused it of taking credit for Central schemes.
