Welcome to the ultimate, raw, and unfiltered 40-minute travel blueprint of our journey from Delhi to Goa! If you are planning a trip to Goa soon, STOP and watch this entire video before booking a single hotel. We made a massive travel mistake that completely altered our experience, and this video is your guide to making sure you don't repeat what we did. In this video, we ditch the flights and take the ultimate overland adventure route. We start by boarding the legendary Delhi to Pune Duronto Express, transition into a long-distance Volvo sleeper bus straight into Goa, and then pick up two incredible machines: the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Hunter 350 to explore the coast. But here is the catch: We spent 3 entire days exploring North Goa (Baga, Morjim, Panjim) and only a single day in South Goa without even staying there. It turned out to be a decision we instantly regretted. --- 🌍 THE OVERLAND ROUTE & TRAVEL LOGISTICS 📌 PHASE 1: Delhi to Pune via Duronto Express 🚂 We kick off the journey at the bustling railway stations of Delhi, boarding the high-speed Duronto Express. We break down the catering, the speed, the cleanliness, and what it’s actually like to spend nearly a day tracking down south toward Maharashtra. If you love Indian Railways or want a relaxed alternative to flying, this section covers the complete onboard experience. 📌 PHASE 2: Pune to Goa via Volvo Sleeper Bus 🚌 After arriving in Pune, we transit straight to the intercity bus terminals to catch our overnight multi-axle Volvo bus. Winding through the Western Ghats overnight, we detail the comfort levels, the sleeper berths, the road conditions, and the early morning entry into the beautiful state of Goa. 📌 PHASE 3: The Royal Enfield Coastline Explorers 🏍️ As soon as our feet hit Goa soil, we headed straight to the motorcycle rentals. For this trip, we chose two completely different beasts from the Royal Enfield stable: • The Interceptor 650: A powerful, parallel-twin modern classic built for effortless cruising along the highway stretches. However, It is uncomfortable especially with a pillion or for long stretches. • The Hunter 350: A nimble, light, retro-metro roadster perfect for tight Goan alleyways and city traffic. We break down the rental costs, security deposits, fuel economy, and how these bikes handled the diverse terrains of Goa. --- 🛑 THE MISTAKE: WHY NORTH GOA WAS A DISAPPOINTMENT We spent almost 75% of our trip navigating the roads of North Goa. We stayed near the commercial hubs, rode out to the famous party spots, and tried to find the magic everyone talks about. Here is what we found instead: • Baga Beach Reality Check: Overflowing crowds, intense commercialisation, loud music overlapping from every corner, and chaotic parking that turned our riding experience into a stressful chore. • Morjim Beach: While quieter than Baga, it still carried a heavily commercialized footprint that felt far removed from a peaceful coastal getaway. • Panjim & Latin Quarter (Fontainhas): The bright, colorful heritage streets of the capital were beautiful for a quick afternoon cruise on the Hunter. --- 🌴 THE REGRET: ESCAPING TO SOUTH GOA FOR A DAY On our very last day, we pointed the Royal Enfield Hunter 350 to south. Within 45 minutes of crossing the river, the atmosphere completely transformed. Empty roads lined with towering coconut trees, pristine white sands, absolute silence broken only by the crashing waves, and a laid-back, authentic Goan "Susegad" vibe. We spent less than 24 hours experiencing the true beauty of South Goa, and we didn't even get to stay the night there. The realization hit us instantly: we had wasted three days in the chaotic North when we should have been base-camping in the pristine South. --- ⏱️ VIDEO CHAPTERS (TIMESTAMPS) 00:00 - Delhi to Pune on the Duronto Express 🚂 04:50 - Pune & The Overnight Volvo Bus Journey 🚌 10:40 - Day 1 - Check in to the Airbnb. 11:08 - Day 2 in North Goa: Baga to Morjim Beach on a Interceptor 650 19:45 - Exploring Morjim and Cafes 21:33 - Why I didn’t like Goa and what’s next 23:55 - Day 3: Reviewing Interceptor 650, Baga to Parra and Assagao. 30:58 - Escaping to Anjuna Beach ( The nicest beach view so far ) 32:28 - Final Day: Exploring Panjim and South Goa on a Hunter 350. --- 💬 JOIN THE CONVERSATION!
