Vat Rows: Industrial Soundscape | Post Apocalyptic Dark Ambient for Study and Relaxation

I sounded the vats again tonight. Row 9 reads full. The drain log says it was emptied first. ________________________________ The vats stand in rows that run past the horizon, each one the size of a city, their walls rusted through in long brown streaks. Catwalks connect them at the rims, and most of the rails have fallen. The refinery was drained before it was left; the drain logs say so, row by row, with gauge readings copied in a careful hand. Pipes run from vat to vat and down into the ground, capped. On one side of the site the land is empty all the way out, flat and bare, as if the refinery had been meant to keep growing that way. The smell of the old product is gone. The gauges on the rims are still legible. Thank you for listening. Music synthesized in SuperCollider.
