Hi Guys,
Welcome to my channel.
Today we are sharing video of making of Afghani rotis in Dubai.
This video was taken of shop located in Bur dubai where we met Afghani naan makers and had chat with owner of shop.
A naan is simply a light flatbread, which is traditionally oven-baked. The dough is made with a simple flour mix, with only the addition of yeast to make the dough rise and become airy. Once the dough is rolled out and cooked, butter is slathered on the warm bread, which makes it melt in your mouth. They’re not just accompaniments for curries, but also perfect with a hot cup of tea or coffee.
Freshly baked Afghan bread is so moreish you can eat it plain.
Some folk might queue for cupcakes, but round here they go all out for bread. Spot the crowds outside this shop and find out what all the excitement’s about: their huge, fluffy, freshly baked naan. It may be bread, but not as you know it.
One Naan costs only Dhs1and Fifty fills (equal to almost half dollars )
And owner Mr. Samiullah said that they bake about 500-800 pieces daily for clients who order in quantity of 1-20 per order.
Tandoori ovens works in the pizza-style or masonry oven. The dough is typically unleavened and roti emerging from these ovens usually remains tender for longer.
You can spot these ovens across all neighborhoods where the blue-collar working man resides – be it the alleys of Satwa, Naif (Deira), Hor Al Anz (Deira) and Meena Bazaar (Bur Dubai).
