Step inside Li Hai Braised Pork Rice (#李海滷肉飯), a longtime favorite hidden inside Taichung’s historic Second Market. With more than six decades of history, Li Hai is known for its rich and savory braised pork served over steaming white rice. The pork is slow-braised until tender, with cuts such as pork belly, pork tendon and other traditional favorites available alongside soups and side dishes. Li Hai is also part of a beloved food tradition at Taichung Second Market. Locals have long joked, “Morning Shanhe, evening Li Hai,” referring to the two famous braised pork rice shops whose opening hours complement each other. In this Slow TV episode, take your time and watch the sights, sounds and rhythms of a traditional Taiwanese food stall—from preparing the ingredients to assembling each bowl. . 📍 Li Hai Braised Pork Rice (李海魯肉飯(第二市場創始店)) Stall 98, No. 85, Sec. 2, Sanmin Rd., Central District, Taichung City, Taiwan https://share.google/sJTBqalqB2lPH9WdP ▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁▁ 🔔 Turn on notifications to stay updated!
