In 1 Samuel 15, God says He repented that He made Saul king. Eighteen verses later, Samuel says God “is not a man, that he should repent.” Then the chapter ends with God repenting again. Same chapter, same story, same Hebrew word. So can God change His mind? In this video we walk through 1 Samuel 15 in context, look at the Hebrew word nacham, and see why the writer put those three statements side by side on purpose. Along the way we’ll look at Jeremiah 18, Jonah and Nineveh, and the oaths God says He will never take back. Passages covered: 1 Samuel 13 and 15, Numbers 23:19, Jeremiah 18:7-10, Jonah 3, Malachi 3:6, Psalm 110:4, Romans 11:29, Hebrews 6:17-18
